Tips for Using Your Mate Gourd

1. Prepare the Calabash: Before first use, clean your calabash by filling it with yerba mate and hot water, then let it sit for 24 hours. Rinse and let it dry.

2. Fill the Calabash: Fill it 2/3 full with yerba. Tilt the calabash to create a slope.

3. Place the Bombilla: Insert the bombilla into the empty side without moving it to avoid blocking it.

4. Add Water: Pour hot water (70-80°C) slowly near the bombilla. Repeat until the yerba loses its taste.

5. Cleaning: After use, rinse the gourd with hot water and air dry it, upside down. Clean the bombilla regularly.

Tips: Never use boiling water to avoid the bitterness of the mate.
